Why is water hyacinth called "terror of Bengal" ?



ANSWER:- Water Hyacinth is also called Eichhornia crassipes  and it is commonly called Jal kumbhi.
      It is called terror of Bengal because it multiplies itself rapidly and  absorb oxygen which is dissolve in water that causes lack of oxygen in water  due to which aquatic life starts facing problem of oxygen  which leads to death of aquatic life.
